This Q&A offers a peek into my approach and what it’s like to photograph your story. I’d love to hear about your vision, your story, and your dreams for your wedding day.

FAQs

What is your photography style?

1

I appreciate and focus on real experiences as they unfold—shared moments, heartfelt emotion, and meaningful connections—offering gentle guidance only when needed. My goal is to create images that feel honest, elegant, and true to you.

We’re not comfortable in front of the camera—can you help with that?

2

Absolutely. Most couples feel this way at first. I guide you in a relaxed, natural manner so you never feel stiff or awkward. You don’t need to “perform” for the camera—my role is to help you feel comfortable being yourselves, so your photos reflect who you truly are together.

What does a typical wedding day look like when working with you?

3

I begin by documenting the atmosphere and details as the day unfolds—getting-ready moments, emotions shared with loved ones, and the story leading into the ceremony. Depending on the sunset and your vision for the day, I often create an intimate First Look before the ceremony. From there, I capture your celebration naturally, stepping in with gentle guidance when needed—especially for portraits and family photos. My goal is for you to feel present, not posed.

How many hours of coverage do we need?

4

Most full-coverage weddings benefit from 7–9 hours to capture your day fully, without feeling rushed. I offer a variety of packages and options and will help you choose the coverage that best fits your timeline, locations, and priorities.

Do you ever use a second photographer?

5

For many weddings, yes. I work with one or more trusted second photographers whom I’ve partnered with for many years. Having an additional photographer allows for more complete storytelling—capturing multiple perspectives during the ceremony, candid moments with guests, and fine art décor details. Second photographers are especially helpful for larger celebrations or multilocation timelines. Anyone I work with is an experienced professional who aligns seamlessly with my style and approach, ensuring a cohesive and beautifully curated final gallery.

Do you have videographers or content creators you often work with??

6

I’ve had the pleasure of working with talented videographers and content creators who share a similar approach to capturing weddings thoughtfully and creatively. I’m always happy to share a preferred list of trusted vendors to make planning easier and more enjoyable.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

7

Yes! Engagement sessions are a wonderful way to get comfortable in front of the camera, connect before your wedding day, and create meaningful images in a relaxed setting—especially helpful for destination couples. Planning note: Need them for save-the-dates? Let us know early so we can get them to you on time without sacrificing quality.

What are your thoughts on Welcome Dinner photography coverage?

8

Welcome Dinner coverage is a relaxed, natural way to begin your wedding weekend story. With 1½–2 hours of coverage, I capture candids and portraits, the excitement of family and friends arriving, and the beauty of the venue and décor. I also include a quick sunset portrait session—a quiet moment for you to soak in the beginning of your magical wedding weekend adventure.

How do you handle family portraits?

9

Family photos are approached with care, efficiency, and organization. I’ll help plan a list in advance and guide everyone quickly and kindly so this portion of the day is smooth and stress-free.

No worries at all. I’m comfortable photographing in all conditions and always have a plan. Overcast skies and rain can create incredibly romantic, intimate images—especially in Wine Country. I’ve put together featured galleries that show weddings photographed in all kinds of weather conditions.

10

What happens if it rains?

What happens if you’re sick or physically unable to photograph?

11

While it’s never happened, I always have a plan to ensure your wedding is fully documented. I work with a small group of trusted, highly skilled photographers who know my style and approach. If something unexpected were to occur, one of them would step in to capture your day with the same care, attention to detail, and storytelling that I bring to every wedding.

Why do you love photographing weddings in Wine Country?

12

There’s something truly special about the pace, beauty, and intimacy of weddings here. The landscapes, light, and sense of celebration create a perfect backdrop for meaningful storytelling, and I’m honored to document love in a place that feels so alive and inspiring.

Would you ever travel outside of Wine Country to photograph?

13

Absolutely! While Wine Country is my home base, I love photographing weddings, events, and engagement sessions wherever your story takes me. I regularly travel throughout Northern California — including San Francisco and Lake Tahoe — and I’m always excited for destination celebrations near or far. I’d love to hear about your wedding location and explore the possibilities with you.

If you value genuine moments, timeless imagery, and a photographer who approaches your wedding with care, calm, and intention, we’re likely a great fit. I believe trust, connection, and feeling completely at ease are just as important as beautiful photographs.
